Dogecoin has no supply cap, and that is deliberate

Most cryptocurrencies are pitched on scarcity. Dogecoin is not: the block reward is a flat 10,000 DOGE and it does not halve, which puts roughly five billion new DOGE into circulation every year, forever. The original cap was removed within months of the 2013 launch. As a proportion of the existing supply that inflation shrinks each year, but it never reaches zero, and it is the single biggest structural difference between holding DOGE and holding Bitcoin. It is also why DOGE tends to be spent and converted rather than held for a decade.

Litecoin miners are what keep the network secure

Dogecoin has been merge-mined with Litecoin since 2014: the two chains use the same Scrypt algorithm, so a miner can work on both simultaneously at no extra cost. Without that arrangement a network with Dogecoin's block reward would be cheap to attack. It means the security of your DOGE is, in practice, downstream of Litecoin's hashrate — an unusual dependency, and a stable one for over a decade now.

Fee minimums make very small transfers uneconomic

Dogecoin's reference fee is set per kilobyte of transaction data rather than as a percentage, which makes ordinary transfers cost around a cent regardless of the amount. That is excellent for sending meaningful sums and poor for sweeping up dust: if a wallet holds a few DOGE spread across many tiny inputs, the transaction that consolidates them can cost more than they are worth. Check the total before you sell a very small balance.

Blocks every minute, and what confirmation means here

Dogecoin targets a block every sixty seconds — ten times faster than Bitcoin — so a transfer typically confirms within a few minutes. Because individual blocks carry less accumulated work than Bitcoin's, platforms usually wait for more confirmations before treating a deposit as final. That is why a DOGE deposit can show as pending for longer than the block time alone would suggest; nothing is wrong, the network is simply being read conservatively.

How long does it take to send DOGE to us?

Dogecoin settles on Dogecoin, where a transfer typically confirms in 2–20 minutes. Dogecoin produces a block every minute, and most platforms credit deposits after 2–10 confirmations — so a few minutes to about twenty in practice. Fees run around a cent, keeping DOGE genuinely usable for tips and small payments, not just memes. We start your payout once the transfer has confirmed on-chain, so this is the part of a sale you are usually waiting on.

What does it cost to send DOGE?

That is a Dogecoin network fee, paid to the network rather than to us: Typically about $0.01–$0.10 per transaction in 2025–2026 (the reference fee is 0.01 DOGE per kilobyte). See /fees-and-limits for what Anytime Capital charges.

What do DOGE addresses look like?

Standard address: Starts with D (34 characters). One universal format Check the first and last characters against the address on the payout screen before you send — a Dogecoin transfer cannot be reversed once it is confirmed.
