Nothing enters inventory
No holding period, no capital tied up, no item to price down. The order closes the moment it settles.
Pawnbroking is identification, valuation, recordkeeping and cash across a counter. Crypto asks for exactly those four things — and unlike the rest of your floor, it never sits in inventory waiting to sell.

Bitcoin · paid in cash at the counter
A pawnbroker's day is a sequence of identity checks, valuations against a moving market, careful records and cash moving in both directions. Every one of those skills transfers directly. Staff who can take in a piece of jewellery correctly can take a crypto order correctly, because the discipline is the same.
The difference is what happens after. A loan ties up capital and a purchase ties up inventory that may or may not sell. A crypto order ties up nothing: the customer pays, the asset is delivered, the store's share is recorded, and there is no item on your shelf hoping for a buyer.
It also reaches a customer who is not currently a pawn customer. Someone with cash to convert has no reason to visit a pawn shop today; if your store is the counter that serves crypto in the neighbourhood, they do.
Why it fits
Every store type in this program runs the same platform. What changes is the customer, the ticket size and the objection — so this is the part written for you rather than for everybody.
No holding period, no capital tied up, no item to price down. The order closes the moment it settles.
Shops used to statutory recordkeeping and police reporting handle a verification-first workflow without complaint.
People with cash to convert are not usually walking into a pawn shop. This gives them a reason to.
Buy and sell activity are both part of the platform, which is a familiar shape for a business that already moves value both ways.
Getting started
A compliance review and a training session. Nothing is delivered to your address.
Where the store is, what it already offers, and what your foot traffic looks like. We tell you straight away whether we can serve your market.
Entity documents, ownership and any licences your store already holds. Days, not months.
One session per employee. No crypto knowledge required — the order screen is shorter than a money order form.
Logins switched on, revenue share accruing on every order your staff place.
The arithmetic
Crypto is priced as a percentage of the order, so the revenue scales with the ticket rather than with the number of items you sold. These are worked examples at an illustrative 1% to 3% revenue share — check your agent agreement for your own rate.
| At the counter | Order size | Store keeps (low) | Store keeps (high) |
|---|---|---|---|
| A customer cashes a check and puts part of it into Bitcoin | $200 | $2.00 | $6.00 |
| A regular buys USDT to send to family overseas | $500 | $5.00 | $15.00 |
| A customer sells crypto and takes the cash | $1,000 | $10.00 | $30.00 |
| A small business owner buys on payday, every other week | $2,500 | $25.00 | $75.00 |
| One larger order, the kind an ATM's daily cap refuses | $10,000 | $100.00 | $300.00 |
The figures above are worked examples, not projected or guaranteed earnings. They show how the arithmetic works on a given order size at an illustrative revenue-share range. Your actual rate is set in your agent agreement, and what any individual store earns depends on its foot traffic, its neighbourhood, its hours and how many customers it serves. Anytime Capital does not promise any level of income.

Two customer groups show up. The first is the existing base: people who came in for a loan or a sale, have cash in hand and want to put some of it somewhere. That conversation happens naturally at the counter because the money is already on the glass.
The second is new traffic. In neighbourhoods where the nearest alternative is a kiosk, a pawn shop that is known to handle crypto attracts customers who would otherwise never come in, and some of them look at the cases while they wait.
Neither group requires you to advertise beyond telling your regulars. The category's word of mouth is fast.
Pawn customers are used to talking about sizeable amounts across a counter, so pawn shops tend to see larger average orders than most retail categories. That is commercially good and it is exactly where a counter service beats a kiosk, since a machine's daily cap is the thing that turns those customers away.
Limits for your location are set during onboarding rather than assumed. What size a particular store can handle depends on the store, the market and the applicable rules.
The verification standard does not move with the order size in the sense that matters: every customer is identified, every time, first order or fiftieth.

No. This program is about your counter serving customers who want to buy or sell crypto. Lending against digital assets is a different business and is not part of it.
Never. Your store does not hold cryptocurrency at any point and does not control a private key. The asset is delivered to the customer's own wallet.
It is a separate service and does not change the obligations attached to your existing licence. What applies to your state and business type is confirmed during onboarding, and it is not legal advice.
Counter service is not bounded by a kiosk's note acceptor or its self-service daily cap. The actual limits for your location are agreed during onboarding.
Not to act as a serving location for Anytime Capital's platform. Anytime Capital is the registered money services business and carries the compliance programme for the activity. What applies to your specific store and state is confirmed during onboarding, and nothing here is legal advice.
A share of each order, set in your agent agreement. Because crypto is priced as a percentage of the order rather than a flat fee, the revenue moves with the ticket. The earnings page works the arithmetic through at five order sizes.
